Review on TOKEYLA 5 Modes 18650 Flashlight with Two-Slot Charger and 6-Pack 4000mAh Button Top Rechargeable Batteries by Andres Callahan

I bought this kit mainly for 18650 batteries that I wanted to use to power a NodeMCU (ESP-8266) type device. For this purpose, as well as for powering the flashlight that comes with them, they work fine, but be aware of the following: Batteries: - These are not 4000mah batteries as stated on the labels. They also don't have a model number or barcode. For testing purposes, I discharged two batteries and charged them to full capacity using a separate dual battery charger with a known input current of 1.5A, which took about 2 hours. So I'm guessing the actual capacity per cell is somewhere between 1250-2000mAh, but that's a guess. Flashlight: - This has to be one of the brightest flashlights I've ever used! I'm very impressed. If you pull the head of the flashlight, the lens rotates and can therefore "zoom out". Well maintained. Charger: - Charger 4.2V, 750mA (probably 500mA?), Model 858MA. Batteries charge slowly (which, given some unknowns, is probably a good thing). I haven't charged it from a fully discharged state. But it seems to be working fine and not overheating. Overall I'd recommend this kit, but read A LOT on how to insert batteries (+/-) for charging and projects - both look the same (in parallel)!
