Despite repeated attempts, I've never been able to get my new TCL 4K Roku TV to 'see' my 2018 iPad Pro, even when connected directly to a quality was HDMI cable. So I thought maybe Roku TV just doesn't "accept" iDevices. Then I decided to experiment. Using the Apple Lightning to Digital AV Adapter (https://www.amazon.com/Apple-Lightning-Digital-Adapter-MD826AM/dp/B009WHV3BM) and the same high-quality HDMI cable, my TV recognized both my iPhone and iPad immediately Profi 2015. I then grabbed the Apple USB-C Multiport Adapter (https://www.amazon.com/Apple-USB-C-Digital-Multiport-Adapter/dp/B00VU2K10G) to see what went with Happened to my 2018 iPad Pro. Instant success, of course. The TV faithfully reproduces the 2018 iPad Pro using Apple's own adapter. This Satechi product is being returned and is priced exactly the same as the Apple USB-C Multiport Adapter. Lesson Learned: Stick to Apple's own accessories and don't take third-party word for your supposedly 'compatible' products.
