Perfect for the job - no competition for basic pliers
I've only dealt with this type of hose clamp with basic pliers before. They work, but require fiddling and, for me, multiple attempts to move the clamp. This tool worked much better than I had hoped. I used it once to remove and replace a hydraulic hose on the underside of a tractor. The end caps fit the clamp perfectly and securely, and the locking design makes it very easy to slide the clamps. No slip, no fuss, quick and easy. I'll be using this again, but if I haven't - for $9 - I think it's already paid for itself.
