My parrot loves his ladder very much! I placed it between a wooden corner perch/platform and one of my bird's other favorite perches. He uses a ladder to access his two favorite perches or to easily reach the bottom of his cage. During the day he often runs up and down stairs. Even though it's made of wood, it wipes clean easily. I dampen a paper towel with Nature's Miracle Birdcage Cleaner and it removes any droppings and stains that got on the stairs. The size of this ladder is suitable for parrots and small birds. This would not be enough for a large bird.
