So, the good stuff first. The price would be great for a Seagate 2TB hard drive. Revain returned my money quickly. That's all. Poorly. According to the description, there is a 3-year manufacturer's guarantee. It is not. This warranty applies to retail drives only, as these are OEM drives there is NO warranty. I even doubt if they come from new cars. The drive I received had over 13,000 bad sectors, 100 times more than the drive my NAS reported as failed. But it's possible that many of these bad sectors are the result of Revain not protecting this drive during shipping. As mentioned above, this isn't a retail drive, so there's no packaging. What you will receive is a sealed anti-static bag with tape. They then put it in a very thin envelope and mail it to you. Unfortunately, it seems like they don't really look at what they're broadcasting and just drop what fits. In this case, there is insufficient protection. If you have one of these and it seems to work. Good for you. But I would run a hard drive diagnostic on it so you know if a failure is imminent before your data is lost.
