Walkie-talkies are suitable for a child as a toy.Communication is good over a short distance. But it is lost quickly enough, it is worth moving 500 meters away.
The programming function will be useful, you can register any frequencies from 400 to 520 MHz in 16 channels, for example, reflash walkie-talkies from PMR to LPD channels. How to program Midland G2 is shown in the video:

Cons

- The communication range is not so hot, but you can slightly increase it if you increase the noise reduction sensitivity (through programming). - Do not use batteries, only original batteries.
