Review on 84 Tooth Locking Flex Head Teardrop Ratchet Set - GEARWRENCH 3 Piece With 1/4", 3/8" And 1/2" Drive - Model 81276A-07 by Sean Tops

This is a good 3/8 and 1/4 ratchet set for the money. The locking mechanism locks well in different positions and seems to be able to take a decent amount of torque without unlocking or damaging but I would not trust it to max torque rated levels. I would probably trust the 1/4 to 30 - 40 ft pounds and the 3/8 to up to 200 ft pounds ( about 80% of a good brand solid shaft ratchet). When these ratchets are unlocked, they are basically a "floppy" flex head. I also have a 120 xp ratchet the detentes work much better being stiffer and more of a positive feel when changing positions, but the handle will still move under moderate torque. The pro for this set is the locking feature which does give you more confidence and lessens the chances of busting your knuckles when torque is required to loosen or tighten.
