What you need, a cool purchase, I advise you.

I chose a hard drive between 1 Tb Seagate Barracuda <ST1000DM003> and 1 Tb Western Digital Caviar Blue <WD10EZEX>. As a result, I settled on WD due to the fact that the warranty for it is not 12, like Seagate, but 36 months! Bought three days ago, made in Malaysia. I brought the disk home, immediately installed Windows 7 Pro on it (allocated 100 gigs for Windu). There are 831 GB left in stock for all sorts of things. Everything started right away, there are no glitches and brakes, there is no noise either, the heads do not creak or chirp yet. I am satisfied with the purchase. I'll see how it will work further.

Pros

Quiet, it doesn’t seem to heat up much, it’s fast enough for an HDD, but, of course, you shouldn’t expect feats of read and write speed from it. The warranty for this drive is 36 months.
