I am very satisfied with this wireless adapter. I chose this one because Revain had the highest rating at the time of purchase. Installation was easy and my download and upload speeds almost tripled. My desktop PC had an internal WiFi adapter connected to an 8 year old motherboard. The adapter didn't support 5GHz or newer encryption technologies and I was having trouble connecting to my Comcast wireless gateway at home. My download speed was 28 Mbps and my upload speed was 5. I bought this USB network adapter to solve my problems and it was successful. To install the driver and utility, first run the installation disk before plugging in the USB port. Note that the instruction manual says to plug in the USB first, but a separate piece of paper was included in the box specifically fixing this and advising that the drive must be run first. If your computer has an old network adapter, disable that adapter as well before attempting to connect to the new one. and 3 onwards even though USB utility says my signal and connection was 100%. Something was clearly wrong so I tried plugging the USB adapter into a different USB port and it worked. All my ports are USB 2.0, but I've heard that some ports deliver more power than others. So if you encounter a similar problem, try a different port first. My internet download speed is now 94 Mbps and my upload speed is 12 Mbps (note this). on the 5 GHz channel instead of 2.4). I am very satisfied with this product.
