I was really looking forward to this album because I wanted to be able to just experiment and not take it too seriously. The two paper textures are very good and the watercolor works great on the textured side. But the smooth paper side is a whole different story. I used the smooth paper side to just do some paper sketches and didn't use watercolors on it. When I went to erase a light pencil mark, my eraser (Lyra or low-techno) that I use all the time ate the paper so badly that the surface of the paper disappeared. So I decided to try another eraser and use a nag eraser as it will be softer. Spring. that didn't work either and I had the same problem. #rip paper As much as I'd love to try this sketchbook, I wouldn't recommend it. If you don't plan on washing anything in it, just don't take it. The large sketchbook I bought from Michael for $5 erases 100% better than this album!
