High quality conductor material, low price and if you need a flexible/manoeuvrable cable, this type of welding cable is for you. How flexible is it? Well, about 15ft 2ha, both red/black, were coiled like coil springs, they were no wider than my arm in diameter and about 9 inches tall! So I sleeved the cable in an Insultherm braid to make it more abrasion and heat resistant and then put a red stretch braid over it to add a bit of visual appeal and also to draw attention to its position when I'm doing the route change Wiring through places that aren't that common and on the off chance that a workshop does work on my car, this should help prevent accidental damage as it's hard to see. it is necessary?. no, probably not, but i like to do things meticulously in a compulsive way, the added protection is peace of mind, and i look great too!
