I was very surprised at the quality for the price. I am also very surprised that for this price a pair of anti-static cords are included, one for the wrist and one for the mat. There were more expensive mats that didn't have an anti-static wrist strap, let alone one for the mat. The few that came with a strap didn't have anything to ground them, which is a complete waste of time. It's designed for laptops and smartphones, so you'll need a much larger one to run it on a desktop. However, I only need it to work on my laptop, which is perfect. My 15.6 inch laptop is at the limit with its depth and width. If you have a 17 inch laptop, I would go for a larger pad. I love the clips and the design of the strap, you can completely remove the 2 clips and put a dot in the "plug". The plug is an ingenious system where you have a ground point to connect to your power strip and then connect the points of your anti-static cords to 2 black sockets that protrude from the plug providing a ground connection. Thus, you can be grounded by static electricity as well as by the mat. The mat is thick and durable with small cut outs for parts and screws which is great because I always lose a screw the first time I open my laptop Paint me impressed with the IUZIT ESD Solder/Anti Static Mat!
