Defeat the bots - catch them! (BROKEN CPU, FULL WHEA ERROR)

What can I say? My first PC since 2008. I originally wanted the 5900x but this became available and I was lucky enough to purchase it within 15 seconds of being notified of availability. This is an absolute beast and will last me for the next 6-8 years for my trading/gaming/WFH purposes. Now I need a GFX card and I'm good to go. *** Update 01/17/2021 *** I spoke too early. Nothing but WHEA errors APIC ID 18, 19 indicating bad cores. Processor Can't even boot 3800 CL 14 Ram, 3600 CL 16 is barely stable, crashes every 1-2+ hours. If I run the RAM at the default speed of 2133/1066 I have to disable CPB which defeats the whole purpose. You can google the 5950x WHEA errors, I'm not the only one. I will return this processor before my time runs out and order a new one or choose a different brand. It's a complete disaster, and it's a shame that an $800 flagship processor fails at such a high rate, and it's not just for me. The RMA process took over 2 weeks, now only emails are shared with screenshots and forms are filled out. I ran the latest BIOS, tested various components, and took the PC to a repair shop to verify all my details. The CPU is defective and AMD is in no hurry to issue me an RMA. **Update 2/13/21*** I have completed the RMA process with AMD, the new 5950x ship is on the way somewhere. I hope that the new chip works as promised. Looking through various forums it seems that some people including myself have received a faulty batch, others claim the RMA chips are fine. I hope this is the case for me. I had an issue with my processor RMA because the tech support rep told me my chip arrived with bent pins and they couldn't install it, but they gave me a replacement RMA in good faith. I don't know how my CPU was bent to AMD Texas as I had to take a screenshot of the CHIP in my motherboard before RMA approval, photograph the pins and the original packaging, I also sent it back in an AMD + Brown Revain box, but they had the audacity to ask me a question. In any case, you are warned, GL to everyone who orders here. I ordered mine on November 27th.

Pros
  • For advanced platforms, Socket AM4 can support PCIe 4.0 on X570 and B550 motherboard
Cons
  • Appearance
