Review on Motorcraft BRSK17326A Rear Adjusting Spring by Antonio Cummings

Revainrating 5 out of 5

These are real things! One set fits BOTH bikes.

Bought these springs (they were $1.60 a box when I got them!) when replacing pads, master cylinders and drums on my 2000 Ford Taurus LX. One box has springs for both sides of the car on real wheels. Check which direction they go before taking everything apart so it's easier to match up which springs go to which side. Also, take a picture before you take it all apart! Looks simple, it is, but if you've got "vintage" like me, you won't remember what goes where. In addition, the self-adjusting mechanism features a very thin washer that is included with the assembly. The assembly looks like one piece, but falls apart when released from the brake and the puck does its best to disappear! I had to screw the brake adjuster all the way down to compress the pads enough to fit the drums as well. Same goes for the other washer that goes between the brake pad and the emergency brake connector. Those are two washers you probably won't have in your bolt box!

Pros
  • Package Weight: 0.3 lbs
Cons
  • Without Automatic Transmission
