Good for First Pass

Will these stones work? Yes, and much better than pink stones. They sharpen the tooth of the blade, but like all stones, they wear out quickly and the stone's diameter and shape will change as the tooth of the blade wears away. These stones aren't bad for a quick first pass on a blade, but if you really need a sharp and consistent blade, buy diamond stones for finishing. The diamonds are set on a metal mandrel that holds its shape for an even cut.
