Bought for friends Silverado 2000, double cab, long bed, two-wheel drive. instructions because it's a 3500. I then removed the two factory bolts from the bumper bracket on the frame and when I tried to fit the assembly it wasn't aligned properly, it wanted to go in at an angle, not flush with the seat because it was hitting the bumper? So I decided to see if the gasket would allow more clearance, which it did, but still not enough. So I got out my angle grinder and cut the bumper bracket. I put it in and tightened it, but when the step is down it's not in line with the bumper (as shown in your photos), it's skewed. If I hadn't used the supplied spacer, which I'm NOT supposed to use, the step would have hit the bumper on the way back before falling onto the bracket itself as intended. I would like to hear from the seller about this. Can I take a photo below if needed?
