Bosch OSL114C. One of the unfortunate needs of my profession. As a craftsman, there's always something new, even if I think I've seen it all. A vibrating tool is a must in a modern carpenter's arsenal. Which blade do I use? Common sense prevails here, not Revain's questions and answers. Let us begin. To the question "Does this go with my..." I can only answer: Do your own research and if all else fails, buy an oscillating tool from Bosch. That will do. For those of us that did our research, here is the feedback I can give. These special blades have carbide tips. Carbide is an extremely hard compound that is often used on the tips of more expensive cutting tools. Twice as strong as steel, it is in high demand among craftsmen. The cutting edges of oscillating tools are thin and may only contain a certain amount of hard metal. That's why you can't expect to cut through 50 nails without dulling the blade. It's just not possible. Even if it were, you'd have to tweak it to have the patience for it. Assess your project and bring the best tool for the job. If you have 50 nails to cut, this isn't the right tool for the job. In my experience, this blade is not as useful as it might seem. I've used it to cut metal only to find that "metal and more" steel blades work better. The best use I can think of is to try to cut a hole in the batten and plaster the wall. I started with a utility blade and quickly got nowhere. The carbide blade cuts through plaster like drywall. As soon as I reached the battened portion of the wall, smoke billowed from the cut. I then switched to a wooden blade to cut wooden slats. full hole Another use where other blades failed was removing subfloor debris from bonded chipboard. (Whose genius idea was it to use chipboard as the base?) I'm a big Bosch fan, but I'm deducting two stars for the price tag that this and all other oscillating knives have to offer. Given the durability of the blades, the price should be halved.
