Used correctly this tool works. It comes with the right accessories for what I wanted to work on. I used it to replace the original, completely busted ball joints on a 2009 Escape. The ball joint on the driver's side put up a lot of resistance, but the tool worked really well and it held up well for the extra hits I put on it. In my case there is no bend. If lost or stolen I would buy it again.
