Review on Continental Conti4x4Contact 265/60 R18 110H summer by Mateusz Praga ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

I like everything, the quality is good and the price is reasonable.

freelander 2. Changed tires in the spring of 2022, after 2 years of operation 235/60/18 Yokohama Geolander AT G015 (mileage 40 thousand). Continental Conti4x4Contact - put 215/75/16. The high profile immediately made it possible to go through the pits more comfortably, without damaging the disc. Rubber is softer and less noisy than Yokohama AT. Significantly reduced consumption. I often travel to the Altai Mountains, I walk confidently on gravel roads and field roads. There are no problems with passes. But as soon as it gets slippery, the Continental Conti4x4 loses its advantage. Off-road, obviously not 4x4! Conclusion! 1. On asphalt, Continental Conti4x4 is better (but not in the heat). 2. Off-road Yokohama Geolander AT G015 (all the same AT). 3. Durability and reliability uniquely Yokohama Geolander AT G015. 4. Fuel consumption of Continental Conti4x4. 5. Washboard riding is better than the Continental Conti4x4. 6. On slippery roads or grass - Yokohama Geolander AT G015. And the best tires - Pirelli AT Scorpion! Drove 2022-2022 years (3 years) in the mountains and asphalt - mileage 65 thousand and like new. It's a pity, I sold it along with the Suzuki Grand Vitara (2022). I saw the new owner of Vitara, for another three years I left for 10 thousand per season and goes on. I feel the mileage is about 100 thousand - but you can still drive. They have one minus - the consumption increases by 0.5-1 liter per hundred.

Pros
  • Not noisy, even at high speeds. Soft. Handles well on asphalt. Confidently and comfortably passes potholes on the pavement. Reduced fuel consumption.
Cons
  • In the heat floats and wear increases. During the season I drove 35 thousand and the next season I thought: to put or change. Not durable. Internal side cut and scrap rubber. Poor off-road grip.
