Review on 🚙 Jeep TJ Rear Track Bar Relocation Bracket Kit - JKS OGS160: Enhance Your Off-Road Experience by Chuck Derrick

Pre-ordered for CV driveshaft kit. I already had a rear driveshaft, I recently installed an adjustable JKS crossbar and was about to install it and my angle changed before the shaft arrived. I can say it works, but there are a few things you need to be aware of when doing this. Time. Prior to installation I had a Rough Country adapter mount installed to accommodate my 4" rise and when I installed the adjustable stem I found that the stock rail was about 1/4" from the center of the Rough Country adapter hole was removed. This caused the screws to get stuck when I tried to pull the bar out. If you're trying to use this with a bar you'll need to either get a drill to drill new holes or slings to line up the hanger. While installing the screws. The last of these is not suitable for suspension components. With that in mind, if you're going from a Rough Country (or any other model) extension bracket to this one when you're installing a CV driveshaft, expect to drill some thru the main hole, the bolt hole that goes where the Bearing track bolted earlier was very well aligned, the bottom of the bracket that sits under the axle was set back about 1/8 inch from the old bracket. I suspect they are in the same place, although my old mount wasn't flush with the frame (poor setup) so you may not need to re-drill that hole. However, you MUST redrill the top hole above the axle mount. My old clip was cut left to right and this clip was cut front to back and the hole was nowhere near an intersection. Drilling the top of the axle cross member mount is hell of a job as you have to get there from the top with an angled drilling system as there isn't enough room for a regular drill. However, there are no problems with the mount itself. My JKS bar slid right where it should be with no issues and since the pivot joint on this bar is a hair thicker than the factory I suspect other handlebars will fit as well. The mount is solid and holds tight and given the way it fits the old mount and the number of screws I doubt it will break anytime soon. All in all a good product!
