I work in healthcare and suffer from flat feet for more than 12 hours per shift. I have never been able to wear compression stockings because my foot would inevitably slide forward and put painful pressure on my toes. I sometimes get bouts of plantar fasciitis from these flat feet and first went to Sockwell's Plantar Ease at a local shoe store, absolutely heaven! After noticing my first varicose veins I decided to try the Sockwell line of compression stockings and am very glad I did. I started with a light, then in place compressions (both moderate 15-20 mmHg) with great results including no foot slip. Looking at the styles and colors I came across the higher compression Elevation (20-30mmHg firm) and they feel so amazing, like a little all day massage. Some people complain that they are too tight and unless you have slender legs and ankles they are difficult to put on but worth it. I have no problem with them running down my calf, I stay cool and dry, there is no painful sticking at the top and I have a large calf. Increased compression is a dream and your feet will thank you.
