I'm not a big baker but I find it a bit disappointing that I've never had an adjustable rolling pin before. It certainly takes the guesswork out of thickness and consistency. It is very easy to use and set up. You simply unscrew the end caps and remove the washers, leaving the size you want as the largest. Then screw the end caps back on to hold the discs in place. Make sure you tighten the ends well so there is no gap between the pin and the washer. It definitely makes rolling out dough for cookies, croissants, and other baked goods a lot easier than using a non-adjustable rolling pin. With detachable rings, this rolling pin is easy to clean after use. Once you take it apart, it won't be easy to wash each piece without splits to hide food. It is so easy to clean that I would have no problem letting my kid use it to roll out playdough and still be able to use it as the main rolling pin. Since trying this adjustable rolling pin, I've given up my fancy heavy marble rolling pin. This one is so easy to use and easy to handle!
