I was a field technician early in my career and had a Beckman VOM that I bought in the 70's. That was great. Industrial quality, rubberized body and very accurate. Lately he's started making false statements to me. Of course nobody fixes anything these days and the company that did it is long gone. I first bought a cheap piece of shit online for $15. I was about to replace some of the components that power my 220VAC downhole motor and needed a meter to check the voltage at various points in the circuit. The first meter went bang. I realized I wanted something better and no Klein instrument has ever let me down. This meter works great, I like the rubber body and the stand. LCDs can sometimes be difficult to read in direct sunlight, but did a good job of adjusting the contrast. I am very pleased with this addition to my arsenal of electrical test equipment. But I will always miss my Beckman.
