It's a disaster waiting to happen

Wow, I've spent my life on the water and have rarely been as scared as I am of this paddle. I was satisfied because it held up well 3 times as a kayak/SUP combo paddle and then no more. Last weekend while paddling carelessly across the lake, one side of the paddle just lifted up and walked away. He fell right off the pole while I was SUP leaving me only the pole to row. I couldn't even turn to get back to him fast enough to grab the oar, which immediately sank, leaving me a few hundred yards from shore. I jumped in the water and watched her sink. Floating paddle? Yes of course. After spending the rest of the day paddling my hand back to shore, I found that not only had the rudder come off, but the entire system had failed, so had nothing to do with the rudder locking mechanism, but rather with it a loose hub . Wave. It was a complete, catastrophic failure of the product. I will never buy this crap again. Kudos to my lucky stars for making it and I'm a great swimmer. This company should be investigated and removed from Revain. Someone will eventually die from it. DO NOT send your kids (or bad swimmers) out with this POC.
