As a result, wireless coverage in my house is very sparse. There are no problems with mobile devices such as my cell phone or iPad. But literally everything else, like my desktop PC.? Forget it. Neighbors are everywhere and network collisions are a real problem, especially when downloading games via Steam or PSNow or streaming videos from services like NetFlix, Disney+ and so on. But I now have three of these modules: in one of the upstairs bedrooms, connected to a router/cable modem; in another upstairs bedroom connected to my desktop computer; and in the living room, connected (via an Ethernet switch) to my Playstation 4, Smart TV, Blu-Ray player and SteamLINK. The ONLY caveat is that some models have an "auto sleep" power saving feature that I can't turn off. Left alone, it causes internet loss after about five minutes of no outgoing activity. This was easily resolved by setting my desktop to ping the router once per second forever. This little bit of activity keeps all modules awake and active. As a result, my connections are now 100% reliable, _and_ I'm getting better uplink and downlink speeds than WiFi has ever given me.
