I've tried 4 screws from different manufacturers and they all fit, although 2 of them are a bit loose. If you want precision, this isn't it. If you need parts that are easy to assemble/disassemble, if a little play is allowed, they will work. I'm not saying "sloppy," I'm talking a little loose. I use things, jigs and basic woodworking items, they're great for that. Fairly easy to install with a hand tool, but they always work so much better when driven in with a cut 1/4-20 screw that goes into a drill press. There you get an absolute 90* and screw directly into a pre-drilled pilot hole with a slightly smaller diameter. Very easy.
