My family loves smash burgers. This set works much better than a regular spatula. It is also excellent with grilled cheese. I use our shallow pan on the stovetop and this press produces perfectly crispy grilled cheese every time. I don't press it down, but the heavy weight of this press, simply placed lightly on the grilled cheese, ensures a perfect full down pressure of the grilled cheese on the grilling surface. This way you always get perfectly evenly cooked sandwiches. They also seem to cook a little faster. I haven't cooked bratwurst rolls, but I suspect they will bake much better with this press. Sausages tend to curl around the edges and cook unevenly. This will solve this problem. All stainless steel construction means it's dishwasher safe and will last for decades, while a wooden handle has a much shorter lifespan. Dishwasher safe is an important factor in my family.
