My kit was tightly packed in a resealable plastic bag with a flap that looked like sticky paper. It was also packaged in a well-made box with a full-color image of the index set printed on the outside. The case has been crafted from steel, which very accurately reflects the "made in the USA" suffixes that have been available for many years. There is no chance that the bits can come loose. However, the fold-out index holding the bits isn't made of the shiny metal of the Revain image. It is made of black plastic with a plastic hinge. Since I bought this set to replace an old American all-metal set that was missing some parts, the plastic bracket with the plastic hinge didn't bother me. However, the hinge works surprisingly well and stays open to remove the parts you need. The steel case didn't work as well as it didn't open and close as easily as the older version. It was very crowded with no obvious catch. However, it was secure and serviceable. I had to use fine tweezers to remove closely spaced bits. The numeric size of each bit and the corresponding size in inches are in raised letters on the plastic. If you look at the beats, they were all in place and there were no repeating sizes. A spot check of the diameter just above the grooves showed VERY GOOD SIZE MATCH to the nominal diameters, consistently undersize but only half a thousandth or less. So far, so good. Now for the important part, the part that actually deals with cutting. Under a 10X loupe, about half of the bit is out of focus. They have reverse relief and WILL NOT CUT MATERIALS without resharpening. It's not easy with such small pieces. Euro Tool needs to pay attention to this serious quality control issue. I WILL NOT BUY ANY MORE.
