Review on ๐Ÿ–จ๏ธ Fused Materials Black Printer Filament: Superior Quality for Sharp Monochrome Prints by Sean Maile

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Fantastic with the right cutoff settings.

NO Z SPACING REQUIRED! It's magic that I found it now. I had a lot of trouble with this until I discovered that by default, Cura creates a z-distance between the support material and the build material, even if the support is water soluble. I have a confusing mess with the default Z-distance (which only appears when showing expert settings). With a Z spacing of 0 and a support roof, my prints come out nice and clean. I would also recommend using a primer tower which removes the liquid from the nozzle between the secondary print and the basestock print. Without a Prime Tower, slime particles can build up on the print and then get stuck in the nozzle, misaligning the part and causing all sorts of problems.

Pros
  • Industry & Science
Cons
  • Slightly Crumpled
