Review on 🟨 High-performance Ritchey Rim Strips - 700cx17mm - Vibrant Yellow by Choice Maynard

Very cool - perfect for my 29er!

As the name suggests, very cool! I've had my hardtail for a year and a half, and it comes with these thicker rim liners that feel like plastic—you know, sharp edges (huh?) that have little to no grip, so they slide one way or the other . This can be dangerous and on a few occasions when changing my inner tubes I found that they would ride all the way up the side and take up space under the rim lip so they were mostly flush. Non-sticky, non-sticky. There have been problems with the tire bead seat by about 5 inches a few times when I inflated it and that must have been the cause. If you don't catch him, it could be bad, but I digress. Received them today (they came from New York to Phoenix in 2 or 3 days) and they are GREAT! If I had to imagine what material such things are made of, I would choose this material. It's almost like a thinner lanyard (made of the same material) with a slight rubber/plastic feel so it holds up pretty well. It doesn't really stretch so it should last a long time and it looks cool too (although no one will ever see it lol). Just clean your drives first and they should stay in place just fine. I don't know why some of the reviews say it doesn't look like it will fit to assure you that if you keep working on it it will, it seemed perfect to me all along - sure will it can be difficult to get it outside the bezel perimeter of the center channel :) I was expecting some issues based on these reviews, but it all went without a hitch. I suspect some of these are from people who don't do this very often so don't worry they work if it's a 700c or 29er road. The width is perfect for 17mm - I measured and they came out right at 11/16" so almost 3/4" wide. For reference I have WTB FX28 29er wheels - they are 28mm outside to outside - if your wheels are in anywhere you are fine. In fact I believe they will fit any bike rim of that diameter but if you want to check and make sure. Of course ride them today with no problems so plug them in when you need them, it was one of the best prices (considering the shipping costs from those non-Amazon bike shops, which is ridiculous because of course they use USPS on these tiny ones package) and Richie is awesome so you can't go wrong ;)
