Review on Cuisinart CSG 625 Infrared Surface Thermometer by Juan Wilson

This is a very poor quality product that looks like a cheap children's toy and I didn't expect that from other Cuisinart products. Like a child's toy, it stopped working the first time I used it. The display started throwing various messages like ERR (Error?), -OL (?) and then a temperature reading of 122F no matter what it was pointing to. The battery was checked normally, the replacement did not work. My son has an Etekcity which is half the price of the Cuisinart and is much more solidly built so he will buy that instead. Etekcity was sold out when I bought Cuisinart, so maybe that says something too.
