Review on πŸ”§ Lisle 48300 Pushrod Extractor Tool by Montrell Copeland

Will not fit GM 3.1L V6 - Will not fit

I bought this tool to save time on the lower intake manifold gasket on a 95 vintage 3.1 liter V6 engine. The ads claimed it would work with that displacement, but in the end it wasn't worth it. The lower fingers of the instrument were too short, and the tip of the instrument was not far enough away to even grasp the see-saw. I could only lift a few of the rockers far enough to remove the pusher, but usually the tool would violently slide off, causing me to nearly fly off. It was dangerous and after 30 minutes I was only able to remove 4 pushrods out of 12. I ended up throwing the tool away and just loosening the rocker arms and then retightening them when I was done (a process I was hoping to avoid). ). It took me less than 30 minutes to loosen and re-tighten the rocker. So the instrument wasted my time, cost me money and almost broke my ankles. Don't waste your time, money and sweat on this junk.
