Harder than OEM: Replacement parts

So far they've been on my 04 Sporttrac for about a week. They keep my tires on the ground on bumpy roads. My factory shocks jump and the rear end is loose, especially cornering on bad roads. So far this has been a big improvement. They prevent the body from rocking in corners that required me to slow down. I bought these to improve traction as sports tracks tend to wobble in slightly wet conditions and so far they have met my expectations. The only reason I haven't given this shock 5 stars yet is because I don't know its reliability, although the shock was heavier and seemed better built than the OEM shock and I haven't experienced heavy rain at high speeds. I will edit my review in the future when I get more miles with these shocks. In any case, I would recommend these over soft OEM shocks any day. Installation was easy. It took 1 1/2 hours including the time it took me to get a deep socket from a friend. If you have a Sport Trac I had to lower the spare tire and remove the bolts from what I assumed was the canister and move it to the side, but there was no need to remove or disconnect the canister. Also, finding torque specs for a Ford is time consuming, so the top shock to the frame bolts is 17 ft-lbs and the bottom shock to the control arm is 46 ft-lbs. Much luck
