Dampers for my Sport Trac.

This is a rear shock absorber for Ford Sport Trac. Despite the horror stories about the difficulty of installing rear shock absorbers on this model truck, I decided to give it a go. This turned out to be much easier than expected. Not the main task. It was such a difference from the OEM damper that it felt like a new truck.

Easy to install and performs well

I haven't changed the shocks on my truck since I bought it in 2005 so my old shocks have done over 100,000. I looked around for a while before buying these shock absorbers. I really couldn't find anything at a better price with decent reviews. When I installed them it was very easy, just some nuts and I had new shock absorbers. I've been using them for over a month and they make a huge difference. My truck (2005 Ford Explorer Sport Trac XLT) drives like new. Handling in turns and long turns is…

Great Ride best of spare parts

I knew the front shocks were gone but the rear shocks still felt like they had little life. I went ahead and bought new reflex shock absorbers for all four sides. I'll put them on myself. A little problem with the driver's back due to the tight corners, but I solved it in the end. I did a lot of research in search of the right shock absorber. What I've read about them being a bit stiffer compared to OEM is probably true, but since I mounted them on a truck (Sport Trac) I was expecting…

Harder than OEM: Replacement parts

So far they've been on my 04 Sporttrac for about a week. They keep my tires on the ground on bumpy roads. My factory shocks jump and the rear end is loose, especially cornering on bad roads. So far this has been a big improvement. They prevent the body from rocking in corners that required me to slow down. I bought these to improve traction as sports tracks tend to wobble in slightly wet conditions and so far they have met my expectations. The only reason I haven't given this shock 5 stars yet…

Great on my 2003 Explorer SportTrac

Unlike some other shock absorber reviewers who have a lot of experience replacing shock absorbers multiple times on the same car, this is the only time I have done shock absorbers on a car that I have owned , -- - but I'm blown away by the improvement. I've done a lot of research all over SportTrac message boards and I've kept reporting that the Sensa-trac is good, but the people who buy the Reflex love it. I became one of those people. The quality is comparable to KYB models at almost half the
