Bought as a fallback! I had an old Autozone alternator that I bought about 5 years ago and thought it might be stock (time to change it)! The nearest Autozone is about an hour away and in the winter I need my truck for work! So I bought this to have on hand if my alternator dies! While waiting for a warranty replacement I put it in to test and drove it about 150 miles with no problems and plenty of volts and the tester said good! Just FYI if I have changed/upgraded to Gold/new Autozone (DLG1345-6-7) does the alternator look the same as Remy? Installation was easy, just unplug the negative terminal and allow the system to drain for a few minutes. Then take it apart. If you're good you can probably do it in 20-30 minutes. Installed on a 1994 Chevy K1500 w/350.
