Finally a leak-proof carafe

Other portable decanters have nice touches like a contoured shape, a rubberized handle or a handy spout you can drink from when the lid isn't open. used, but it's a serious, leak-proof solution that I can forgive other missing niceties for. I'm an absent-minded fool when I'm carrying my drink with other things. I'm always tipping a drink and no other product I've tried is completely airtight. Drops of coffee or something like that always end up on my papers or in my pocket or on my car seat when I get in the car. This product is normally closed. You don't have to explicitly seal the hole (although all of those other products don't actually seal). As soon as you stop pressing the opening button opposite the drinking area, the lid closes. This leads to some interesting effects that you probably haven't experienced with a typical slide or twist to close lids. The main reason is that a hot liquid will cause vapor to form. This cap is unique in that it can withstand that pressure. Then when you press the button to open, a jet of hot steam will come out. So don't press the button when you already have it in your mouth to take a sip! Ouch! I say this mainly to impress you with how well this unit seals. Every other beverage carafe I've used leaks unless it's perfectly vertical when the vapor pressure is increased. Their "closed" position just can't handle that kind of pressure, and the vapor pushes the drink through the cap, which is designed to prevent spills. This product solves that problem, so I bought it and am very happy with it. It is not recommended to drink without a special lid, as the neck of the case is quite thin and uncomfortable. Yes, and the lid's locking mechanism can be unlocked to reveal the opening and rubber seal, which is normally closed and can trap debris. This is another problem with many other gears - you can't erase them entirely. Sorry it took so long!
