This mug is a big improvement over the Primus mugs I've been using for years! It is sealed and easy to clean, has a very simple but effective design! It keeps hot coffee HOT for hours. My only complaint is that the metal lid gets VERY hot after pouring coffee. Not hot enough to burn but rather uncomfortable to hold. Given the build quality and the simplicity of the design, I expect to be using this mug for years to come.

. I had a previous model and it broke after a year so I bought this one to replace. It's definitely been improved in terms of leakproofing and cleaning, but one of the main design flaws is that the mouth area is deeply cut, causing too much liquid to spill out at once. So if you drink something very hot (e.g. hot coffee) you will burn your upper lip. I really wanted to like the product but it just wasn't working for me. I'm returning it and buying the old model.

I would like to start by saying that I have had several Contigo travel mugs and have loved them all or at least never had a problem with them. While attractive and easy to clean, this "luxury" model sucks when it comes to keeping my drinks warm. I always fill my travel mug with hot tap water to preheat while my kettle boils the water. I really liked the product at first. However, I put it in the dishwasher a few days ago and the paint still started to peel off. Not to mention that the main reason I bought this particular product was because all the parts were dishwasher safe. I wanted to try the new Contigo design as I've been using older models for years. This one is not very good for me. It's about half an inch taller than the older model. So if your older model barely fits under your Keurig, this one won't. Also the filling on this one is weird. . As you pour into the cup (with the lid closed), the coffee will run down the side of the thermos and splash onto your surface. This is not a clean fill. Great Durable Travel Mug. I haven't had any problems with spills or leaks since using it for the past few weeks. I even tried holding it upside down to check and there were no leaks.
