It works and quite simply solves a rather complex problem.

god this thing is expensive for what it is. I first installed it as I saw in the video using double sided tape. I was very glad I decided to practice on a crowbar first, and if you're not a milling specialist I'd advise the same. You will need a 3/4 inch template guide for this project. On my training sample, the tape came off and the test sample was pretty much ruined. From the areas where I made successful incisions, it seemed to me that the tongue was quite narrow, only about half an inch. The second time I used more than just tape. But I secured the template and blank with clamps and screwed the pieces of wood around the outside edges to make sure nothing went anywhere this time. Maybe it was overkill, but on the second try it was perfect. with my practice sample it happened that the router wanted to tilt inwards due to a lack of support on the inside of the routing template and irreparably damaged the workpiece. On the second pass, I cut out a piece of trim the same thickness as the template and almost the size of the inside of the template, minus 1 inch all around. I sealed it tightly with duct tape. Not only did this provide even support for the router, it also allowed me to cut the entire inch to the same depth as the rest of the tongue, giving me a much wider and stronger insert for the router table. I think the instructions could be a bit clearer and they shouldn't just suggest the center support part I made, but for the price of this thing they should include it, especially since the ideal part will probably be created when creating this template. However, I'm glad I chose this route rather than trying to figure out and cut the dimensions myself.
