We encountered a small lizard that roams around our house and we have suggested a good habitat to help the little lizard. We chose this lamp to give Leonid enough warmth in the room. This lamp works great in a small package. The grip tension is pretty damn strong and can snag on objects 1/4 to 1/2 thick. The slider could do with a bit more feedback and grip when turning the brightness up or down. The flexibility of flexible tubing is rigid and will stay in place when bent to fit. Good product.
