Original Mopar part. I agree with other reviews - it's pretty easy to open the lock cylinder, especially after watching one of the many videos (I watched the Quadratec video). You will eventually need to install four small springs, four keyed pins (you get 8 packs of 3, don't worry!) and a locking pin to complete the cylinder and drum assembly. Oil it up, pop it in the lid, twist it and voila - you've (probably) just completed one of your first JL mods. Watching the video took longer than assembling my gas cap.
