**Update** later in the day: After fiddling with the faucet for a little longer, I found out why the handle was turning unevenly. If the handle base is rotated, the locking mechanism will fail. I was able to fix it, but the process of getting it fully stable when tightened was insane. Anyway, I installed it and everything seems fine - there are no leaks. But most faucets are hot on the left side. This faucet is for hot water on the right. I installed it on the left like a normal person and it put me in the weird position that the buttons are facing outwards in the off position. (Ha!) Tomorrow I'll take it apart again, swap the hot and cold red and blue plastic rings on the faucets and reinstall in reverse order. This should fix the problem. I've only installed five faucets in my life, so I'm not an expert on faucets. But I've never seen one so spirited and literally backward. Yes it looks good but I wouldn't buy it again. I ordered this faucet in May for a bathroom renovation project. The project was postponed, so the crane stayed disassembled in the box. I took a quick look at him again to make sure he didn't look terrible - and everything looked fine. It doesn't include a drain, but all I can get is a self-contained pop-up drain. So, 3 weeks after the return window closed, I finally ripped my vanity apart, polished my sink, and installed this faucet. The instructions are crap and literally tell you to put the hose on the handle first, then insert the handle into the sink and put the lock nut on the hose and handle assembly, but it doesn't fit. Bad instructions are the least of my problems. After noticing the direction was wrong, I found that the hot water handle was broken. It does not rotate smoothly and makes a grinding noise when rotating. I can't return it, I can't use it, and now I'm on hold until I find another faucet. If you install right away and find errors in the return window, you might be fine. If for some reason your project is likely to be delayed, I suggest choosing another builder.
