When I first plugged this in and tested it on Linux, I had a very bad framerate when using Cheese (Linux Mint 15). I just tried it on another Linux machine with more modern packages (arch) and it worked much better. I still haven't figured out what V4L2 options to use to improve the behavior. The camera handles low light better than most other webcams I've tried. The image is fairly sharp, but the colors appear less vibrant than most webcams. Maybe a regular webcam fixes this programmatically and it just more closely matches the actual sensor output? There's a lot of fisheye and camera movement seems to introduce more distortion than a high-end webcam. (but it's much better than a cheap webcam)
