I have an outside patio that is powered with a heavy duty extension cord from the house. this cord leads to a plastic junction box where a multi-plug allows for appliances to be plugged in. I have a couple of these cheap generic plastic boxes on the patio and they crack and break within a short time from sun and use, plus they don't open and close well over time.That is all in the past how that I have this Waterproof electrical junction box which is incredibly well built and sturdy with thick plastic molding and a firm watertight seal and comes with a mounting plate included. The box does not have any knockouts and you'll have to drill your own entry hole. I drilled a hole in the bottom of the box large enough for a cord end to fit through and mounted it on a post utilizing the 4 pre-drilled holes in the back to screw the box secure.Very happy with the look and functionality of this well made waterproof junction box and highly recommend.
