I use filtered water in my burner. As soon as I used one of these filters I got limescale deposits on the bottom of my still and had to clean it with citric acid after every gallon I distilled, which never happened when using factory replacement. Factory replacement filters could not be found because the model has been discontinued. It is obvious that these filters do not filter well. The water comes out faster maybe too fast but what did I need these filters for because they are useless since I opened the package I decided to just leave them, in fact I threw them away with the DuPont facet and one another bought a model for about $50 that works perfectly. I never tasted the water, I only noticed the residue left after boiling, which was almost as bad as completely unfiltered tap water.
