Review on πŸ”’ Zyliss Lock N' Lift Manual Handheld Can Opener - 7" with Locking Mechanism, White/Gray by Frank Dubey

It only works sometimes!

Disappointed to find this can opener worth what it is and great Zyliss brand, it doesn't work every time. I think that's a little ridiculous. So I don't know if it's a defect or not, but it seems like the cutting blade is too far away from the "serrated blade" / "gripping washer" which is the part that keeps the opener attached and in place is side/outside of can/outside of lid. I have to sit there and fiddle with the angle and position and try to get the blade to drop the damn lid by hand like my already tired hand pushing with some force and hope the outer gear is enough works to keep the opening going. my long-awaited beans or whatever I'm trying to get. Incidentally, this applies to small, medium and not very large doses. It has a nifty little button to release the lid from a little magnet that lifts the lid after it's removed from your jar, if you were able to remove the lid at all. But I'd be pretty happy without this feature if only the damn opener would open my cans properly. I bought it because I had wrist issues and according to the reviews it was easy to use. And I will say that it's easy to spin, which deserves its one star. :) But definitely not for general use. I'm looking for a hand opener from the 80s. I'm willing to pay you what I paid for it. Plus a Starbucks card.
