Review on πŸ”§ The Ultimate iFixit Manta Driver Kit: 112 Precision Bits for Household & Electronics Repair by Brett Gilbert

Revainrating 4 out of 5

This set contains ALL the parts.

Everything you need is here. Bits from large to small in every size and shape. Everything looks high quality and not cheap. It has all the weird stuff like the triple wing and play pieces. I've never seen some before. You get two drivers for small and big bits, and they look and feel good. So why not five stars? Well, that's not the point. Read on: 1. It is not possible to read the bit marks printed inside the case as it is black on black text. More specifically, the text is punched or pressed as if in black foam. Therefore, you must have perpendicular lighting to read text. Luckily all the beats are named so if you're not sure you can take a bite and read the name on the side. But all they had to do was print the text in a combination other than black on black to make it perfectly legible. how did you miss it 2. It has a very ornate and stylish case that holds the two halves together with magnets. This is not a real case with a loop that closes with a latch. You can't just toss this item in your backpack or toolbox and expect it to stay together. You open it by prying the top off the bottom, which is fine but not sure. I wear a large rubber band around me, but we both know it's not really going to work. All parts feel sticky. Maybe it's part of the production. Maybe it's just the foam in the case holding it in place. I personally don't like it and after dealing with beats you feel like "I have to get rid of this". I'm not a certified beat expert enough to tell you if this is normal or not. Disadvantages aside, this is an excellent set of bits. I highly recommend this, but be aware that the case is grossly below par. If you are okay with it, it will give you everything you have ever wanted.
