Great idea to extend the gutter

I have a gutter that falls down in the middle of the garden and wreaks havoc every time it rains heavily. I have no idea why whoever installed the gutter didn't extend the drain pipe past the edge of the bed, but I knew I had to either find a way to drain the water or lay rocks over the bed , instead of using it for the plants. I really want the bed to be part of my tiny garden so I started looking for what was available. Unfortunately, there aren't many options available for those who need to add 28-30 inches to their inventory. Some of the proposed solutions were outright ugliness that would not please anyone in their garden. Then I found this Flexdrain Dripper Flipper and for now it seems to have solved the problem. The Flexdrain easily connects to a standard 3" gutter and extends far enough to direct drains out of bed. I kept it upright. As we don't have rain in the forecast at the moment, being able to turn it over and put it out of the way when not in use is a BIG plus as the pavement outside the bed isn't very wide and has every little obstacle I know Don't know how well the flexdrain works in the rain yet, but it looks like it's going to work. prone to chipping, cracking and complete breakage. If it lasts 1-3 years then I'll be fine. I'd happily pay 2 or 3 times the price for a much better plastic or even a quality metal flex drain. Most importantly, it was the ONLY product that met my needs for this garden and didn't look like some hideous device left over from a flood disaster. the price was quite reasonable given the quality; fits easily into the downpipe; and it looks like it will do the job admirably, at least for a while. I highly recommend Flexdrain if it suits your needs. Just be aware of its flaws and don't expect it to be made of very high quality material. This is a great and simple idea to solve a problem many of us are facing. I hope the manufacturer will continue to make Flexdrain and encourage the use of better materials in the future, maybe even cast aluminum. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is the obviously poor quality of the plastic. But like I said, for the price, it's good value. All in all, Flexdrain solved my problem and deserves two positive reviews from me!
