Review on Glow Light Porcelain Clamp Lamp by Exo Terra: Enhancing Your Terrarium's Illumination by Dede Tambagan

Contrary to many reviewers of this product, I only bought this to use as a lamp on a photo lamp stand with regular incandescent bulbs, as a lamp next to my computer desk and others next to the bookshelves . All I have to do is remove the clip from this lamp and attach the stand where the clip would normally be. I've tried several products made for this purpose, ranging from $5 to $12 each. Some of them arrived with bent umbrellas due to damage in transit and were simply thrown into a poorly protected crate. Others had clamps that broke after a few adjustments or tightening of the clamp on the ball. The other had a lampshade that never screwed properly into the socket. Tired of all this, I decided to look for a higher quality lamp that was long lasting and suitable for 100 watt bulbs (until my power supply ran out). I had a hard time finding clip lights that met all of my criteria until I found this one and it's perfect. This lamp is built to last, with a durable lampshade. It comes in its own box to protect it during transit. I ordered two and neither arrived without a dent. It is designed for 100W light bulbs. The cable and connector are stronger than what I had before. Best of all the switch is on the cord which means I don't have to shake the lamp to turn it on or off (because the switch isn't plugged into the socket like everyone else) and like all the others this lamp has a heavy duty switch with positive "click" when the switch is pressed. This is a product that is worth the money due to its excellent design and features. I love it so much I'm ordering two more if it goes out of production so I have some spares for later.
