I bought a 3.5 liter oxo pot last month. I liked it so much that I considered buying the whole dinnerware set. So I bought the whole set and am very happy with it. Nothing sticks to the pan and I use the pan to fry first and then cook the soup. I've used Cuisinart, three-tiered pans, and Calfalon pots. They tend to trap food inside. I have ikea sensual heavy pans with 3 layers but the food is still sticking in them. I measured the thickness of the pan and found that oxo pans have a much thicker layer of aluminum between the two layers of steel. Other three-layer pans also have an aluminum layer, but it is significantly thinner than Oxo pans. With this utensil you can compare all lined utensils. This police cookware compares very well to all three-layer coated cookware. I think this is why the food doesn't burn and cooks evenly. I love to cook and prepare Indian sauces and fried vegetables and dried lentils. And I use pans roughly. I was surprised that my onion and ginger mixture didn't stick to the surface of the pan. I have 5-tier fully coated pans that I love and the Oxo pans work just as well as any 5-tier stainless steel coated pans. I just love the set.
