I bought an external lock and it came with two keys. This item arrived with all the parts needed and everything looked like new. However, the instruction manual was wrong (page 10 was before page 7). But they are pretty clear. The first thing I did was change the grips by swapping them out. They came to the right side. Once I got the hang of it, it wasn't difficult. Installing all of this, the cylinder is the hardest part - it's square to begin with so I had to scrape some wood in the door to get the cylinder to slide (which is basically the worst part as others have pointed out ). And there are two pieces of plastic on the inside of each side of the lever. Having plastic parts in a doorknob/lever is not a good thing. But now I'm stuck and haven't had any problems. I've found that when I pull the lever to open the door, I have to push a little to open the door. But I think it's better than losing. I might just buy a few more of these. And another plus - there wasn't much "grease" anywhere on the cylinder or other parts. This creates a mess. I'm glad this one was clean. Thanks Revin
